All my bred doe receive a CDT shot 1 month prior to kidding. Weaned kids will then receive a CDT shot at 4 and 8 weeks of age. They will then be due a year from the last shot. Shots and banding of any kids leaving before 4 weeks of age will be your responsibility to have done. Kids purchased here can be brought back for banding (at 8-10 weeks old) and their first 2 CDT shots ( 1 at 4 weeks and 1 at 8 weeks of age) by me, free of charge. Dis-budded (unless the kid is polled) between 1-2 weeks old. Wethers will be banded between 7 to 8 weeks old. Worming with Safe-Guard for weaned goats will be done right before leaving unless needed prior. Kids leaving after 4 weeks of age will be given Toltrazuril which is a coccidiosispreventative. Hooves trimmed and ears tattooed. Microchip can be done for $20 per kid (this is an option) and must be requested prior to me registering them. Dates for all above will be documented on your final receipt at pick up. Signed ADGA certificate or ADGA application will be given at pick up. You are responsible for submitting registration or the application and all fees after taking possession of each kid. AGS application is also available if requested.
FEED Weaned kids will be eating Purina Grower Goat Feed and hay prior to leaving. Wethers (fixed males) should not be fed grain and can do quite fine with just water, hay and loose minerals. The Purina Grower Goat Feed is safe for all goat kids, including wethers because it has the ingredient Ammonium Chloride in it which helps prevent urinary calcify issues. Please have Water, Hay, Manna Pro Goat Mineral / Purina goat mineral or another loose mineral of your choice available.
